I hate my boss

Seriously, I hate my boss. The way he works and the way he handles things.

First and foremost, he never gives clear instruction and he expects you to get the things done. And when you try to ask him further so as to clarify the situation, he gives you the kind of exasperated look. The kind of look that makes you feel so dumb and stupid. And after giving you that lousy look, he will TRY to explain to you in a very irritated manner.

Secondly, he is a workaholic. He is not married, thats why he always works long hours. The worst thing is that he expects everyone to be like him. He never hesitates to ask us to stay back after office hour or call us back during weekend.

He likes to be in control of everything thus, he seldom delegates work. This is why he is often flying all over China during the weekdays. He usually comes back on Friday. As he is away from office for the whole week, he has a lot of administrative work to handle and issues to discuss. And this is the time he will ask EVERYONE of us to stay back for the weekend. WTF!!!! Why can’t he schedule to come back just a day earlier to sort out the stuffs? Why must we always ask us to stay back every weekend?! I am fine with working on weekend BUT NOT EVERY WEEKEND. Sigh.

Oh well...that's life.

Updates!

To all my loyal, faithful blog supporters, I am back! Your patience has finally been rewarded!! Nope. China still bans blogspot. But I have my way of getting access to it. :P

Okay here is the update. I have been in Shanghai for 3 months! Things have been rough and tough. There are a lot of things that I have adapt and accustom to.

A new living environment where you have to put up with lousy food, crowded trains and uncivilized people EVERYDAY. Furthermore, I have to wash my own clothes and settle my meals myself. Most importantly, I do not have my darling and my family members by my side. It can get a bit lonely sometimes, especially when you have to go back to an empty house after work. Yup, I have made new friends in Shanghai. But then again, life is just different without my darling and my family members by my side.

The working world is very different from the studying world. In the working world, things move very fast and people expect you to pick up things by yourself. People have no time to teach you or to give you guidance. Furthermore, they are impatient and less forgiving. They expect things to be perfect and they do not tolerate mistakes.

And it does not help that real estate industry is a localized industry where you need local knowledge to do well, that my company has a lot of office politics and that I have a workaholic boss who 1) will always send you email at around 5.59pm 2) expects you to check your email at 9pm 3) does not hesitate to ask you to go back to the office during holidays and weekends.

It took me a while to get used to the working world, much longer than I expected. But I guess I finally understand what is required of me and I am slowly getting the hang of it.

Despite all these, I still have no regrets. I have learnt a lot from this adventure and I will continue to learn more. I am sure I will be become a stronger and more complete person at the end of this journey. :>

Problem after problem

Sigh... I think I will be stuck in Singapore for a while more....

I just received an email from the company and this is how it goes...

Our China office is facing some issues with applying for Invitation Letter and Employment License, so that we can apply for Z-V isa (multiple-entry visa). The China authorities do not accept the attached document as evidence that Chun Meng had graduated, till we get the graduation certificate. O ur manager went in and try to convince them and also failed.

Sigh... Damn Sian.... I really hope that this will be worth all the hassles and sacrifices! I could have been working 2 months and getting 2 months worth of pay already. Now.. I am rotting at home and having nothing to do....
